SABC warns popular TV drama, Uzalo over boring story-line, after Mzansi cried out over the content aired and the shocking reduce in viewership.
Uzalo bagged the most viewed Telenovela in SA after breaking record with 11.4 million viewers.
According to Sunday World, the viewership reduced to a very low 8.8 million viewers. These figures were taken from the Broadcast Research Council of South Africa.
It is believed that the actors poor act is due to the low income reportedly received.
SABC warned Stained Glass Productions to change the story line and be more creative.
“Yes, there are issues with Uzalo because of its dwindling numbers and the complaints we received from viewers who said the storyline was now boring. We urged the producers to come up with creative storylines to rescue the soapie because it was important to the SABC. Another thing we emphasized was that actors need to be paid decent salaries for their work,” said the executive to the publication.
